What is the easy way to create cases from existing data?

Hi,

I have a requirement to migrate cases from existing data sources. I would
like to know the easiest way to do it in the commcarehq application. There
is an API for form submission, there is no example on how to use it with
some sample form data. Any help is appreciated.
