Unsync-ed Data, Mobile Workers' Report

Hello CommCare Support

I have 2 issues regarding syncing of data and mobile workers report that i
need some help!

1. Sync Issues
Afew mobile workers have problems sync-ing their data to the server.

An added complication we have is that we removed the 'Saved' Button so it
is not possible to view the saved data to extract the information. We want
to try installing the ODK app/installing another version of the app to see
if it solves the sync issue. But before we do that.

Is there a way to extract the unsync-ed data from the Android tablets?

Also, we are unsure why there is sync issues. There is no problem with
connectivity (other user are able to sync at the same location) and no
photos saved, do you have other troubleshooting advice?

2. Mobile Workers' Report
Why is it possible that for a mobile worker, there is 5 submitted forms
recorded but only 2 completed forms recorded. Am i right that the submitted
forms are forms sent to the server, i would assume that there should be
equal number of forms for completed and submitted if all the data is
synced, or that there will be more completed forms than submitted forms if
the data is not completely synced

what are some possible reasons that there would be more submitted forms
than completed forms for one user who has synced all her data from the
Android tablet?

Thank you for your help!
Fiona

Hey Fiona,

For 1) we don't expect any sync issues. If you report an issue on HQ
someone on our team can look into whether there is something unique to your
project that may be causing problems. The most common problem with syncing
involves submitting multimedia files and there are some workaround we can
try if that is what's happening. You can also try using our wifi-direct
workflow to pull forms off the phones and submit from another device.

For the mobile workers report, the submitted forms use the time received on
the server and the completed forms use the timestamp from the phone. If
there is a discrepancy it could be that the forms were filled out a long
time ago, or that the time on the phone is incorrect. More information is
available here;
