The new button titled "Add Multi Event Reminder"

Hi folks --

I'm a user of CommConnect, and I see that over in the messaging tab, there
is a new green button titled "Add Multi Event Reminder."

I couldn't find documentation on it, and I wasn't 100% certain I understood
the purpose of this second button, so I thought I would ask.

Is the purpose of this button to make a new reminder that does not just
send a single SMS out, but instead, causes multiple SMS's to be sent out
(but to the same recipient?) ...

it seemed like if that was someone's need it would be so easy to simply
make multiple reminder entries, that I thought I was maybe missing
something.

thanks!
Eric

Hi Eric,

The option to add a multi-event reminder has always been there, but before
it was behind a drop-down. We realized that the button was a bit difficult
to discover, so we just removed the drop-down to make it more visible.

A multi-event reminder is used to simplify creating reminders with changing
content or complex schedules. Say, for example, you want to send a 30-day
SMS campaign with a different message every day. You could do this by
creating 30 single-event reminders, or you could just create one
multi-event reminder with 30 events (one event for every day). Or, if you
wanted to send an SMS appointment reminder one month, one week, and one day
before the appointment date, you could just set your events up accordingly
in one multi-event reminder rather than creating 3 single-event reminders
to do the same thing.

Thanks,
Giovanni
