I am relatively new to CommCare and need some help figuring out how to log
multiple versions of the same form to one case. I am going to be conducting
a financial diaries survey over the course of multiple months. Each of the
cases will be baselined and logged at the beginning of the process with one
form then I would like to create one form that can be updated on a daily
basis for each case. My issue comes in when trying to save all of the
information collected on the form at the end of each day over the course of
multiple months. I am sure that there are a number of solutions out there
so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be
wonderful.
It sounds like you are on the right track. You'll want one form that
registers a new case (your baseline) and another form that updates the case
(your financial dairies). In the financial diaries form you can save form
data to update case properties, so that the case always has the most recent
data from the financial diary. For analysis purposes you will probably need
to look at form exports, rather than case exports. Each case will have an
automatically generated unique ID (caseid) and you can use this to find all
of the financial diary forms that are related to one person.
Let me know if you need any further clarification.
Thanks,
Jeremy
