I imported cases yesterday and checked that they came through okay on an
tab (no problem with import). However, today I am syncing the server on an
android and it says that 'the information is up to date' however it is
still not showing the cases imported yesterday.
That doesn't sound like expected behavior. It sounds like either something
is not setup correctly in the imported cases owner assignment, or you're
running into a strange bug. The easiest way to fix/test would be to clear
the user data on the phone and login again. This can be done by logging in,
going to menu --> settings, then menu again --> clear user data. This
should initiate a fresh sync and send down all cases.
cheers,
Cory

I will report the issue both on the commcare importing page and on the
android device too where it is not syncing?

I just re-uploaded the files (its the same file but I changed the username
each time) and it works now. I don't know but I was wondering if it had
something to do with me using the same file and just changing the
username... because I remember having this issue before... it seems like
the importer has a memory of the same file. So I created a new file each
time and had no problem at all.
Thanks so much,

Thanks for your reply. I tried clearing the data but the same thing
happened. I know it is not syncing because it syncs very quickly without
downloading the 2000+ cases. How could I have not set-up correctly on the
imported cases owner assignment? I am a bit confused because I added this
data to 4 different mobile users and all of them come out fine on the tab.
I have tried on various android devices and the same thing happens every
time with this data.
However, there is one user which I imported cases to a while ago (I'm
pretty sure I used pretty much the same format for upload) and they are
appearing on the androids.
Thanks for your help,
Heidi

I'd like to look at this issue in more depth. Would you mind reporting this
issue?
To do that, go to your CommCare HQ account, and navigate to the page where
you're having problems from (in this case, importing cases).
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen and you should see a
box pop up that says "Report an Issue".
Click on that, and fill out as much information on the problem as you can.
We will look into the issue and update you as soon as we have more
information.
Thanks!

No need to report it twice, you can just report from the CommCare import page and describe the details, including what device you're using.
Thanks!

This problem has occurred for me again...cases were imported a while ago
and appear to be accurate. Now, one phone with one user does not show any
cases (I tried 'clearing the user data') whereas another phone with the
same user shows all cases that were uploaded.
I will import the cases again as I did last time but I will not be able to
do this after November 11th (bulk case importing will be taken off our
account) so I am curious why this problem occurs and slightly worried about
it occurring in the future.
