Sending Automated messages to Community Health Workers

Hello,

I would like to send an automatic messages to Community Health Workers as
soon as they send data into the site, as an assurance that that their data
has been received and they are on the right track. How can i set this up on
the site?

Sandra

Hi Sandra,

Could you describe the use case in a bit more detail? For example, are you
looking to send a confirmation SMS to the user every time they create a
case?

Thanks,
Giovanni

Giovanni,

Exactly. And also every time they submit a form.In my project a case is a
person,so many forms can be submitted for one case depending on the
frequency of followup by the Community Health worker.

I would like the System to automatically send them SMS each time they
submit a form.

Thanks!

Sandra,

The application currently provides feedback about whether their forms have
been submitted to the server. In our experience receiving an abundance of
text messages is not the most effective feedback that users can receive of
their progress, since it clogs up the phone's text message management
system.

Have you considered using automated messages in somewhat the opposite way?
Our research has shown that the most effective strategy for text message
communication is to send reminders for workers about cases that haven't
received a followup in a while to remind them to either perform a visit or
report a reason for not visiting, which can be helpful centrally. It also
lets the user use the normal, passive mechanisms to know when things are
going well, and only receive active, directed mechanisms to notify them
when something is amiss.

Regards,
-Clayton
