Reporting on cases

Hello,

We are currently using CommCare for our sponsorship program. We would like
to find out if there is a way to have our sponsored children have "files"
similar to how hospitals keep patient files with all that patient's medical
records contained within their file? We have several forms that we have
created in CommCare that would be filed out several times a year for a
particular child. Our goal is to run reports for this particular child
based on their forms to track their progress. The problem is, is that we
seem to be only able to run generic reports on all forms for ALL the
children in our program rather then for a specific child only. For
example, we would like form A to be filled out 3 times a year for a child.
Each time the form would be saved in the child's record, then after say 5
years, we would like to run a report based on all the forms filled out
during that time period for that child. However, we don’t want to recreate
forms every time one is filled out.

We would like the form to be filled out, saved and then another blank one
to show in its place to be filled out for the next time. Is there a way to
do this without have each child have its on App or Module?

Its seems to us, that we must create a new form every time we want the same
formed filled out for a particular time frame—which is very tedious. In
addition, it also seems that we can only run generic reports on ALL forms
received for ALL children, rather then for an individual child.

Hi,

Have you read about case management in CommCare? I think this will help
achieve the workflow you want. Case management is a way to track patients
(or whatever you want to track) over time.

Read more about case management here:

Thanks,
Amelia
