I'm interested in referencing a response from a previous question in a
later question, in this case, the name of a case in a question in a
subsequent module/form. So, for instance, a question would read 'did Lizzy
take her medication today?' rather than 'did she take her medication
today?'.

Hi Nynke, thank you - The issue is that the Question for the patient's name
is in the Case Registration module, and I want to reference it within a
Follow-up module without having to ask for the patient's name again. Is
there a way to modify the output value so that it pulls from another form?

You can use case management to reference data from a prior form. For
example, you could save the question asking for the patient's name to the
case in the registration form.
Then in the follow-up form you would create a hidden value for the name and
load it from the case. Then you can reference the hidden value in the
follow-up form to display the name.
