We're using a single 'user' case type to allow CHWs to enter additional
information about themselves. For example, the name (or id) of the health
district where they work.
Is it possible to reference case properties from this 'user' case from
forms used to create or update different case types? For example, could we
use the district name (or id) from the single 'user' case as a filter on a
fixture used in another form.
I realize this may not be possible via the App Builder UI, but we'd be
happy to hand craft some xform to get it to work.
Alternatively, if we these 'user' case property values could be
automatically saved as custom user properties, then we could referenced
them that way. However, I don't know custom user properties can be updated
via a submitted xform. Can they?
This is possible but, as you suggest, only via custom XML. I'll offline
with you per our policy for discussing hand editing XForms.
