It's Kai here, from Dimagi, and I'm excited to share with you all the Q1 2026 Product Updates!
Kicking off 2026, our focus this quarter has been on giving administrators more control over their users and roles, expanding what our geospatial projects can do on the map, and continuing to modernize CommCare HQ underneath the pages you use every day. We are excited to share a variety of updates for you all, including:

Edit Role Now Has Its Own Page: The role editor has been rebuilt as a full standalone page, giving admins the space to configure complex permissions without working inside a cramped modal.

Geospatial Boundary Overlays: Mobile workers can now see administrative boundary overlays directly on case list maps in CommCare Mobile 2.62, adding geographic context to every case list view.

New Geo Formats in Case Lists: Four new geo display formats (Geo Boundary, Geo Boundary Color, Geo Points, Geo Points Color) are now available in Case List configuration.

CommCare Data Export Tool 1.14.0: A new DET release with significantly reduced RAM usage, leading to faster CSV exports and better scaling on large projects.

A More Modern CommCare HQ: Several of the most-used App Manager pages, including Releases, App Settings, and App Summary, have been refreshed with cleaner layouts and more consistent styling.

CommCare Mobile 2.62: A new mobile release with enhanced GPS accuracy in forms, improved app install reliability on Android 15+, and fixes for Wi-Fi Direct sharing and SD card exports.
