Public data

Does commcare have access to the data collected using the free or the
standard version? Is the data collected public?

Hi Prachi!

You can read about the terms of CommCareHQ's use of data in our EULA
https://www.commcarehq.org/eula/, but using the free or standard version
doesn't impact the terms of service for the data collected in the system.
Note that these terms apply to CommCareHQ as hosted by Dimagi on one of our
production environments, such as https://www.commcarehq.org.

Generally speaking, Dimagi doesn't claim ownership of the data collected in
CommCareHQ , and the original author of the data retains all rights and
permissions to it other than what's outlined in the EULA. We only retain
limited rights to use the data as outlined in that document. As one
example: under those terms we are allowed to use a project space's data for
operational purposes (such as our support team fixing a bug in that project
space).
