Preventing multiple workers to work on the same case

Hello Everyone!

Just wondering if it's possible for workers in one case sharing group to
avoid working on the same case especially when they're offline (since they
won't be able to sync the app.)

Would love help on this one since I've tried looking for answers in
'Commcare Help' but couldn't find one, or maybe I'm just missing
something..

Looking forward for your replies. Thank you!

Hi Dana,

What kind of mechanism are you looking for to enforce this? There are a lot
of potential solutions to prevent users from proceeding in forms (day of
week, a barcode they need to scan, a question that asks when the last visit
was and doesn't let you proceed if it was after the last known visit in the
phone), but as you identified with the phones being offline the solution
would have to be fundamentally non-technical since the phones couldn't
communicate.

I'm still not 100% sure on what I will do to enforce it, but I think I have
an idea already.

Thank you so much Clayton!

Glad to hear Dana, let us know if you need help implementing any of your
ideas. If you find something that works out, it would also be helpful to
reply here, I think a lot of people might appreciate hearing about it.
