Possible to display auto GPS in case list?

HI Everyone,

Prior to the auto GPS function on v2.14, one was able to display
coordinates captured in the GPS question on the case list by saving the GPS
question as a case property and loading it to the case list (as in Hungry
Hungry Coders found on the exchange). Is there an analogue for the auto
GPS? so that one can display the coordinates on the case list if the form
is set up to automatically capture the GPS.

this would be very helpful

Kind regards,
Ameera

Hi Ameera,

You can add a hidden value to your form, and set the calculation to:
/data/meta/location

This will grab the automatically captured GPS location from the form. You
can then save this to the case. The only caveat is that in some situations
we won't capture a GPS location (taking too long, no GPS available), so
that hidden value may be blank.

Thanks,
Sheel

Thanks sheel this is really helpful. Its not a train smash if no
coordinates are captured and it shows up blank - its actually a good way
for students to check if a coordinate was captured or not as this was a
concern for them when I introduced the auto gps capture.

Kind regards,
Ameera
