We're happy to announce couple of improvements to CommCareHQ:
Report Filter Updates
We combined the groups, users, and user type filters into one easy-to-use
filter. View a report for any combination of users and groups by typing
their names into the filter.
You can check out the new filter on the following reports:
Daily Form Activity
Submissions by Form
Form Completion Time
Case Activity
Form Completion vs. Submission Trends
Submit History
Case List
*Data Exports now export as CSV *
Instead of exporting data directly as excel files, case and data exports
are now downloaded by default as CSV files. As a result, your downloads
will be faster and easier to integrate with data analysis tools - including
excel.
Your existing custom exports will remain unchanged, and you can always set
new custom exports to download as an excel file.

Thank you for your information. What I have noticed with the Data Exports
is that, the date range of the form export does not seem to work. It brings
all visits irrespective of the date range you select. For example if I want
child visits for date range (2014-01-01 to 2014-02-28), the export will
include all visits from January 2013 to date. This problem is associated
with all the forms export.
