Linking 2 individual questionnaires to a single household module

HI
We are doing a survey on Adolescents and will be interviewing adolescent
girls (10 to 19 age). We have a registration module, a household module
(one for each household) and an adolescent module (to be asked to each
adolescent). We are stuck at a point where; there would be more than one
adolescent girls in a household. In those cases, we would be filling up the
information for the household once for all the adolescents on that
household. Could you please help us how to link those adolescent modules to
the HH module because, it may be so that all the adolescent modules in the
household might not be done on the same day. If there are 2 adolescents and
the the monitor goes on a different date to conduct the interview of the
second adolescent, how is she going to link it to that household. The name
of the respondents (as understood) would be different in both the
interviews.

Hello,

This is definitely possible to do using Child Cases:
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Child+Cases

You can register new adolescents in the household module - users will
register a household or select a previously registered household and
register adolescent cases. These cases will then show up in the adolescent
module but remain linked to the household.

You can also use Parent/Child case selection in the Case List/Details for
the Adolescent module (
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Case+List+and+Case+Detail+Configuration#CaseListandCaseDetailConfiguration-ParentChildSelection
).
This will make it so that your users will choose a household and then be
able to see and update all adolescent cases associated with that household.

Hope this helps!
