Is data retained during an update (of the Android app)

I have some fieldworkers whose phones are struggling to sync, after
attempting over both 3G and Wifi.
I don’t have access to the phones myself.

I want to suggest that they update the Android app to see if this may
resolve the issue. Can you please confirm that no forms will be lost during
an (Android) app update?

Any other tricks to try restore the syncing?

Hi Andrew,

Updating the Android app will not cause data loss.

However, if their connection is strong enough to update the Android app but
they’re still unable to sync their forms with the server I would report a
bug through CommCareHQ so that we can take a look to see if anything is
going wrong.
