In App alert when a form is completed

Hi There,

I am working a project for a primary health care clinic, which consists of
a health coach that triages a patient when they arrive and will create a
case for the patient. The patient will then be seen by a clinician and the
clinician will capture details of the consult with the patient. Both the
health coach and the clinician are in a case sharing group so that they can
see the same case list of patients registered. There are multiple
clinicians and health coaches in the case sharing group.

I want to be able to create an alert so that when a health coach completes
the triage form, clinicians are notified that there is a patient waiting to
be consulted. Is there a way to do this in CommCare?

Alternatively I am thinking of creating a status property and displaying
this on the case list so that the clinician is aware of a new triage case,
but was hoping to hear about other ideas to manage this situation

Thanks,
Ameera

Ameera,

As you suggested, having a flag in the case list to signify a new case they
should act on is likely the best you can do within CommCare. There is a way
you could have more visible, asynchronous alerts but you'd need to program
your own external Android application and utilize our mobile API's. If you
have the programming experience and you'd be interested, please email me
directly (wpride@dimagi.com) and we can discuss.

Best,
Will

Hi Ameera,
We occasionally set up an immediate SMS reminder message for these
scenarios. However, that involves dealing with SMS workflows, doing the SMS
server configuration and paying for the messages.
