Importing a large number of options for a form's multiple choice question

Hello all --

In my apps, I often have a question where I need to ask the client's
district of birth. This would fit best with a multiple choice question
with a very large number of choices... sometimes 88, sometimes 165 options.

Actually entering those many many of options would be a serious effort --
especially since would need to put it into two different forms.

Can you remind me if there is a way to use an import method to bring those
many many options from a text file, into the options for a question ... and
have that question arrive into an existing CommCare form?

(Then I suppose the second question could be, if I did make the effort
once, is there a way to export just that one question and transfer it into
a second form in a different app?)

Thanks!
Eric

Eric,

I believe using item-lists
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Setup+a+Form+with+Conditional+Select+Options
from
lookup tables
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Creating+and+Updating+Lookup+Tables
should
address your needs? (I think this might require a Standard or higher
CommCare plan).

Best,
Will
