How to track which mobile users have updated to the newest version

Hi all --

I just did a good substantial update to my app, and released it and told
our program officers to clearly tell everyone to update.

We are particularly interested in working towards 100% use of this new
version. (partly because in this version I have turned on automatic app
updates!)

--> Can you tell me the most effective way to track which users have NOT
been seen to have used the newest updated version yet? I think I heard a
dimagi staffer tell me there was a smart way to try to track mobile users'
current version use...

Thanks!
Eric

Hey Eric,

Have you seen the Application Status Report on the Reports tab? It's
included under the Manage Deployment Reports
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Manage+Deployment+Reports
along the left hand side of the page. This report will show you the last
recorded activity of each user, and the last application name and version
against which they submitted a form. From here you can sort the report by
version number to see who still is not updated.

One thing to note about this report is that it will only update the
information for a user if they have submitted a form. So even if a user has
updated to the latest app version but they haven't submitted any forms the
report will still show them as having the previous version.

Huge thanks to Lauren and Simon for helping with this. I knew it was
somewhere quite simple... but finding it amidst all the functions, it was
easiest to ask!
