What is the significance of selecting 'include multimedia' on the deploy
page? My app has until now not had this selected, but it seems to collect
the multimedia.
Secondly, is there a way to filter the multimedia export, e.g. by
date/user? Currently, I can't find a way to do so, and I am unable to
download the entire multimedia file at once (336 MB).
Is there also a way for the individual multimedia files to be named the
same as the 'photo' field for that form, instead of the 'name' case
property? I am developing an ID card system which involves pulling the
multimedia and the other case data to non-CommCare software, and I am
currently struggling to match up the case data with that case's multimedia
data.
Thank you for the clarification. Yes, I can use the form filter to filter
the multimedia - I hadn't realised this was working correctly but it
appears to be. Apologies!
Best,
John

Sorry this is unclear - the "Include Multimedia" option refers to images
or audio that you added to questions in the application, or icons that you
added to forms or modules. It doesn't refer to multimedia that was
captured by users using the application. https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Multimedia+in+CommCare
Are you able to use the filters on the form export page (i.e. choose a date
range or a group of mobile workers, then hit the Apply button) to filter
the multimedia that is downloaded?

I just wanted to comment on your third point from your email about the
naming convention for the multimedia files. We don't currently have the
ability to change the name of the multimedia files, but if you'd like to
describe the behavior that you'd like on our forum for new ideas for our
product, UserVoice, perhaps we can implement something in the future: http://dimagi.uservoice.com/
Thanks,
