I get the following error: The case sharing settings for your user are incorrect. This user must be in exactly one case sharing group. Please contact your supervisor. when I want test the app using the inbuilt simulator. There are not any groups for the app now. The ones which had been created were removed.
When you are using case sharing, you will need to test in the simulator as Mobile Worker account that is in case sharing groups so the system knows where to assign data.
You can use the Login As Feature with Live Preview to provide a mobile worker for testing.

Did you find a solution to this problem as I am now having the same problem but with one of our mobile user's tablet which is coming up with this message. I have removed all the case sharing properties and groups on CommCareHQ but he is still getting this error message!
