Error in Case update and raw data download

Hi Group,

We are facing the following issues and looking forward to some help.

  1. Even after a particular form is submitted for a case, the case detail
    is not update for that submission and its reflecting the older date in the
    case export. Is it an export level problem or a storage level problem?
  2. Each form has a ‘doc_type’ field which marks a particular entry as
    ’XFormDuplicate’ or as ‘XFormInstance’. For each data entry/submitted form
    if there is a ‘XFormDuplicate’, there has to be a ‘XFormInstance’. But
    for a few cases we are not able to spot the ‘XFormInstance’ and there is
    only the ‘XFormDuplicate’. Odd!
  3. For almost all the data submissions a ‘XFormDuplicate’ is created.
    This is resulting in a huge increase in the DB size and hence increasing
    the time taken for raw data download and many times even resulting in time
    outs.

As our form submissions are increasing we really need to get past these
issues.Looking forward to hear from the group and hoping to get a solution
to the problems above. Thank you.

Hi Shantanu,

Could you use the “report an issue” button on HQ to submit this as a
support request? That will give us access to your project so we can look
into the logs more carefully. Each form should not have a duplicate
submission so it sounds like there is something funny going on with your
application.

Also any information you can provide about what phones and technologies
your project is using would be very helpful.
