Editing forms after completion

Hi CommCare user community!

I need some help.

I am trying to disllow form changes after the form have been saved.
Currently, I am able to access the saved forms under the "saved" button on
the homepage and make changes to the form. For my project, this reduces the
integrity of the data.

I explored the settings and realized that for android, you can customize
the Days for review of completed form
i.e. For how long completed forms remain in the Saved menu before they are
erased from the phone

I would like to ask if i restrict the number of days for review (e.g. to 1
week), would the saved forms be removed from phone even though they have
not been successfully synced to the server? Or will the restriction only
apply after the form has been synced with the server?

Thanks so much for your help in advance!

Have a great day!

Fiona,

Forms viewed in the Saved Forms are actually always read only - they cannot
be edited once they are completed. So, I think you're in the clear here.

Further, forms will only be saved on the phone in this way after they
have been submitted to the server - that is, there's never any risk that
forms will be removed from the device without having been submitted because
your "days for review" is set too low.

Best,
Will
