Edit Forms

Hi

I am just wondering whether edit forms are only for registration forms? Or
can you use them for all forms.

IF you don't use them for all form how do you suggest we adjust the data in
other forms?
Do you suggest having an error reporting form in the field and updating the
errors in the Excel data spreadhsheet?

What are yhe steps for setting up an edit form.
I understand you copy your existing form and create a new one with the same
questions, how does Commcare overwrite the original?

Many thanks,
Jess

Hey Jess,

Currently there is no way to edit forms. If your workflow requires editing
data we recommend using case management and having forms that allow you to
change data in the case. The steps you describe below are approximately how
this workflow would work. This allows you to override/change case
properties in edit forms. Note that it will not affect the original form
submissions, only the case that those forms modify.

We are working on a feature to allow you to edit forms directly on HQ. Feel
free to email me if you'd like to be notified when we are looking for
people to help us pilot test it.

cheers,
Cory
