Dropout Case

Hello,

We prepare to close the case when the respondent is dropped out.

In case, if we "close the case by mistake", the respondent will be
disappeared in our follow up list.
In such scenario, what would you suggest to do? Should we register the
respondent again using the same information (name, ID etc.) or do you think
the system will not accept if we register the respondent again using same
information?
Please kindly share your suggestions.

Many thanks,
KH

Hello,

Please take a look at this documentation
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Archive+Forms - by
archiving the form that closed the case, you should be able to recover the
case.

Best,
Will

Just to add to what Will said, if you archive the close form on CommCareHQ,
the case will reopen and you can sync the case back to the phone.

You can also register a new case for the dropout with the same name, ID,
etc. This will create a new case instead of reopening the old case. You
will then see two cases on CommCareHQ with the same name, ID, etc, but with
different "case IDs" (the unique ID that CommCareHQ gives every case).

Hope this helps!
Amelia
