Date Format for Date Control

Dear CommCare Staff/Users,

We would like to stay consistent in the order of days and months throughout
our forms, using the dd/mm/year format. We can format into dd/mm/year when
a date must be displayed. However we're unsure whether we can alter the
Date Control (for date entry) to also be in the dd/mm/year order. The
default is mm/dd/year for the Date Control - is there a way to change this
element?

Thanks!

Hi Sherry,

The display of the date entry control is usually a setting on the phone
itself. If you navigate to the date/time settings of your phone and you
should see an option to choose the default display of the date control
there.

Thanks,
Amelia

Thanks - date entry control is all good! I've got another question for you
about formatting date displays.

Right now we give CHWs the option of selecting the next appointment day
from a list of intervals (1 week from now, 1 month from now, 2 months from
now... etc). A hidden value will calculate the next visit date (i.e. Sun,
27 Feb, 2014) based on their selection and does a string conversion using
format-date. Then the next question (label) displays it, telling the
patient and CHW the approx next appointment day.

Currently it's all in English, but is there a way we can format it so it
would say dim, 27 févr, 2014? Is that something we can use UI Translations
for? If so, I'm just having trouble finding the name/id for months and days
of the week.

Thanks so much! CommCare has been working great over here in Kara, Togo so
far.
