Converting an Excel file to XML in CommCare

Is it possible to upload an Excel file to CommCare in the format of the
form_contents and populate a form in CommCare?

Hey Natasha,

I'm not familiar with what you mean by "form_contents". Do you mean
something like xlsform https://opendatakit.org/use/xlsform/? Generally
the output of that (an XForm) can be uploaded to CommCare and is compatible
with our tools.

More info can be found on the help site
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Use+Excel+to+Build+CommCare+Forms
.

Hey Natasha,

Are you talking about "Export Form Contents" under the tools menu in the
form builder? You can use that to export an excel version of the form, but
we don't currently have plans to enable import. However, you can do both
export and import with Bulk Translations.
