Commcare Power Automate Data Forwarding Issue

Hi Community,

As you may aware, Microsoft has changed their URL adress and this also affected the URL’s character limit. If you are using the “when a HTTP request received” trigger with anyone can trigger setting, your link now has more than 255 characters (one of my links had 280 something character). Commcare data connection settings’ URL has a limit of 255 character, so i am no longer able to forward my data to Power Automate. This is data forwarding feature was important for my work. I had to use no “Auth type” as none because of my organization’s restrictions. As Microsoft doesn’t have any plan to decrease the character limits and i can’t use the any type of authorization, the only option to ask you if you have any plans to increase the character limit in the data forwarding URLs?

Microsoft has announced upcoming changes to Power Automate flows that use HTTP or Teams Webhook triggers. Beginning August 2025, new trigger URLs will be introduced, and the existing *.logic.azure.com endpoints will be retired on November 30, 2025.

Hi Osman,

Just wanted to confirm that this is on our radar and we will be investigating further to determine if this is something we can accommodate or if additional planning will be needed.

Thank you for your patience while we investigate here. I will be sure to update you with whatever comes out of these talks.

Best,

Kaleb
