Please note that an update has been made to the CommCare Data Export Tool (DET) to support full Unicode when exporting to MySQL databases. The DET will now expect to work with the
utf8mb4 character set.
For more information on exporting to MySQL, see the CommCare public documentation on exporting data.
If you are using the CommCare DET to export to a MySQL database it might be worthwhile to confirm that your database supports these changes by checking your database's default character set. If you need to upgrade your database's character set to
uft8mb4, this link might be helpful.
