Cloucare - internal error handling request

Hi,

internal error handling request: <type
'org.javarosa.xpath.XPathTypeMismatchException'>:
org.javarosa.xpath.XPathTypeMismatchException: XPath evaluation: type
mismatch Location instance(groups)/groups/group/@id was not found

I am testing out the web entry function on cloudcare and I received this
error -Not sure what this means?

My test user is placed in a group and only exists in one group and has an
app editor role - Could that be a problem?

Kind regards,
Ameera

Ameera,

You often get that error when your user is not in a case sharing group but
case sharing is turned on for your application. Are you logging in as a
mobile worker (IE not your app editor role) that's in a case sharing group?

Best,
Will

Hey guys,

I was having this error as well and for ages I thought it had something to
do with one of the location questions either in the case management or the
question itself not working properly on cloud care. It would be helpful if
these errors contained some suggestions as to what might be the actual
issue, possibly with a link with the most common ways on how to solve the
issue.

Thanks,

Ralph

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for the suggestion. Although it would be difficult to have errors in
the code contain suggestions as to what the actual issue is, it could be a
good idea to have some documentation on common errors that can occur when
using CommCare. I will bring this up with our developer team. In the
meantime, you could submit this idea to our Uservoice forum.

For any feature requests that CommCare does not currently support, we
encourage our users to submit their ideas on our uservoice forum. There,
users can vote on ideas that they would like to see implemented.

To submit a Uservoice request, go to http://dimagi.uservoice.com. If it is
your first time on the site, you must register for an account. There you
can search for your idea, and if it hasn't been suggested you can submit
it. You can also vote for other features you'd like to see.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Robin Selwitz
