Closed cases and linked excel dashboard

Greetings,

We are working on creating a dashboard to actively link to a daily export
from CommCare. One function of the current dashboard it to assume that if
data is not submitted on any given day for a specific case, that they were
not seen. This count as a metric against the CHW. We are unsure to handle
the situation where a participant either a) drops out of the study, or b)
completes treatment/follow-up. The current application has three modules:

  1. registration, 2) daily follow-up, 3) close out. We are linking the
dashboard to the daily follow-up form. Our current thought is to link one
tab in the dashboard to the follow-up module and another to the close out
module. In the event a case is closed, we can make the dashboard recognize
this and pull them from the monitoring metrics. However, we are curious if
there is possibly another way? Is it possible to have the daily export be
    only active cases?

Would love to hear thoughts on how this could be approached.

Hello Elizabeth,

Currently it is not possible to filter a form export based on open/closed
cases. You can however download a case export, which will indicate what the
status of each case is (the field is called info.closed) and then use that
to filter out the forms from closed cases, and then link this to your
dashboard.

Best,
Kishan
