Case data extension

Hello,

I'm creating a new poeject in CommCare and I would like to know hoy could i
find how many bits you send every time you save a new form.

I have been looking for it at very Form i have created, in Data>Export
Cases and Data>Export Form and the only thing I have found is the XML file
it creates with every Case.
How could I know the amount of bits it represent?

Thank you very much,

Irene

Hi Irene,

The actual amount of data that is sent depends on the number of questions
in the form. If you'd like an estimate of how much data is in a particular
form, you can just save that XML file on your disk and inspect its size.

There's also some data that is sent/received when you sync with the server.
You can take a look at how much this is for a particular user by looking
at the offline OTA restore:
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Offline+OTA+Restore

Thanks,
Sheel
