Capturing location on map

Hi,

Could someone please guide me on whether we can capture the location on a
map? As of now, we can capture GPS coordinates but capturing location on
the map would be very beneficial for plotting the density of respondents on
a map. Could integrating Commcare with Google maps be an option? Requesting
for guidance on this.

Regards,
Nikhil

Nikhil,

There are a few options you may find helpful with GPS coordinates in
CommCare.

Specifically I believe this may be what you are inquiring about
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/CommCare+Geospatial+Features+Overview#CommCareGeospatialFeaturesOverview-MapCaseList

Can you let me know if this fulfills the workflow you are describing?

Thanks for the support Clayton. I tried out the feature mentioned by you
and its working. I also used info from the following link to plot the
respondent density:

https://wiki.commcarehq.org/display/commcarepublic/Using+GPS+Data

This is very useful. Thanks again.

Nikhil

Thanks for the support Cory. I will try out the feature after upgrading to
a paid version.

Hey Folks,

We’re actually still testing the mapping feature and have not yet fully
released it. We will send an update when we’ve released it with our report
builder add on.

Thanks,
Sheel
