Call center app

Hi All,

I want to try out the call centre app but needed some guidance. If a
supervisor also performs regular CHW work (household visits) other than
conducting supervision checks on their CHWs, how would the case sharing
work when we allow case sharing between the members of the supervision
group when they are only meant to share the CHWs and not the Households or
children they visit since the call centre function will only be a module on
their CommCare app? Or would there be a way to only share a specific case
type?

Regards

M.

Hey Mourice,

Great question. Unfortunately, you can't easily configure per-case type
case sharing using the application builder. In your situation, I think
you'd need to do the following in your application (assuming you don't need
any case sharing other than sharing CHWs)

  1. Turn Case Sharing OFF in your application
  2. Create a case sharing group called Supervisors and add all the
    supervisors to it
  3. Manually assign the CHW cases to the supervisor group using the
Reassign Cases feature on HQ (
Reassign Cases - CommCare Public - CommCare Public)

Turning Case Sharing OFF for your application will set it up so that newly
created cases are not shared with any users, even if that user is in a
case sharing group. However, you can still manually assign a case (ex.
the CHW cases) to a case sharing group.

Thanks,
Sheel

Hey Mourice,

Yup, you should be able to do this with the call center application.

THanks,
