Bug tracker

Hi guys,

Do you have a public bug tracker ? I think the 23 issues including pull
requests at Issues · dimagi/commcare-hq · GitHub realistically doesn't
reflect the real state of commcare-hq…

Well, if it does, congratulations to you of course !

Thanks,

Hi Charles,

Unfortunately we don't, currently. We use Fogbugz to track bugs, which
unfortunately has no reasonable support or workflow for public issues.

We have been looking to alternative workflows for this, the most likely one
being the github issue list, but at the moment we have a lot of tools and
process setup around Fogbugz and so the overhead of switching is pretty
high.

Feel free to report any bugs to commcarehq-support@dimagi.com or use the
"report an issue" button on CommCare HQ and we will get them into our bug
database. We could also likely do some sort of periodic export, but it's
quite likely that just the ticket names might not be enough to get the full
context.

Fair enough. Actually I wanted to check the bug DB to find something easy to
fix, that would have been a good way to dive a little deeper in CommCare's code
base. But I appreciate that switching from one tracker to another is a pain.
