Access to Uploaded Images

Hello Everyone,

I am new to CommCare and have been trying to develop forms for a
teledermatology project on which I am working. The goal is to have an
initial form that provider remote from dermatologists that can fill out
that captures relevant clinical information and pictures, a subsequent form
in which a dermatologist can provide his/her consultation, and another form
through which the referring provider can provide follow-up.

I have been able to create functional forms that capture all the
information of interest and able to get the case list and details to show
everything necessary except for the pictures. If I understand correctly,
all the data stored with a given case is stored as a string, which explains
why I can only see "############.jpg" when attempting to get the uploaded
images to show up as case details. That said, I am not able to figure out
any way to see the pictures (e.g. not able to export them through the
"Manage Data" page, not able to get them to upload into other forms- just
comes up as a string). Is there a way that uploaded pictures can be
accessed using the string that is shown under case details (e.g. something
along the lines of www.commcarehq.org/a/nameofproject/##############.jpg)
or another means?

I look forward to any help you all can give me!

Thanks,
Martha

Hi Martha,

or another means?

Unfortunately at the moment associating images with cases is not supported.
You can view the images by going to the case list report, clicking on the
relevant form in the case history, and then viewing the attachments tab.

We'll let you know when we rollout support for attachments to cases.
