A few Concerns

HI Everyone,

  1. I have a concern regarding the submit history reports. I use this
report often to see that my students have been following the correct
workflow on their commcare logbook app. I was looking at some students
history today and had asked them to sync with the server, however their
forms did not show up on the history. Any idea why that would happen?

  2. I have some students who complete an form and save it as incomplete. I
then then log onto the commcare app with their user details and sign off on
the incomplete forms, however, I cannot see the incomplete forms even when
both the student and I have synced with the server. Why does this happen?
(I am considering creating an admin app with cas sharing so i no longer
have to log on with their details, but in the short term, why is the
incomplete forms not showing up on my device even after syncing?)

Some insight on this will be much appreciated!

Ameera

Hi Ameera -

Can you submit an issue through your domain and specify which app / users
this is occurring on and our team can look in to it.

thanks,
Jonathan

Ameera,

Your first issue sounds like you should definitely submit a bug report
following the template
herehttps://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Bug+Reports?src=search
as
Jon suggested.

Your second issue isn’t actually a bug but is expected behavior. Incomplete
forms do not sync with the server and will continue to exist only on that
user’s device until the form is completed and synced with the server. As
such, they will not be accessible when you log in as that user on a
different device. It seems like this could possibly be related to issue (1)
if all those user’s forms are continuing to only live on the users’ devices
as incomplete forms.

Best,
Will

Hi William,

With regards to the second issue, thats good to know, perhaps i need to set
up case sharing to sign off that form from my device. That is the only
form that requires being incomplete and therefore all the other forms
should show up on the report. I have submitted a bug report and will
hopefully be able to resolve the concerns in no time.

Many thanks,
Ameera
