Hi All,
We just created a case property that takes up a value depending on what has
been answered/typed. I know that this case property will not update
retrospectively but I would like to update 60 or so cases with this new
property.
Here's the logic: if(/data/recruitment_site = 1, '1', 2). The new case
property, patient_id will hold the result of the if function. I would
like patient_id to display on the case lists and detail screens instead of
1 or 2, as is the case at currently. I appreciate any ideas!

Hey James,
You can use our Excel Importer (if your project is on the standard plan or
higher).

To use the importer, you can download all the cases you already have,
determine the value of patient_id , and then reupload (the uploaded Excel
document just needs the columns for patient_id and case_id).
Alternatively, you can also build a quick second app that lets you just
modify that property for existing cases. If you use the same case type
between two applications in the same project, they will share data.
