Hello,

I am looking at the Case History of my cases in CommCare HQ and in the _Form
Properties_ tab, some of the case properties appeared under the heading
"Unrecognized Data". What does it mean? They are also marked as "questions
in form that were not shown to the user". This does not make much sense to
me because they are all hidden values and I got a result from their
calculations which means their display conditions were met. I attached a
screenshot to better explain it (see for example "question24/Amount\_of\_50\_downpayment"
= 40000 at Unrecognized Data and at with no value and in pink at "Hidden
Values").

I do not get any error in the app and the case properties for that hidden
values are stored. I worried only because I need those properties later in
another form for doing calculations and for that purpose they are not
working well. So I was wondering if this "unrecognized data" issue is the
reason and how can I fix it.

Thank you!
Sabela

Hey Sabela,

I believe we use the current version of your application to determine which
questions we "recognize" in that view of the form. It may be that you've
changed your application since these forms were submitted and now those
questions no longer exist, or were renamed in the current version of your
application.

I would use the Case Changes tab when viewing a form to see what case
properties were saved from a form. This will let you know which you can
reference in future forms.

Thanks,
Sheel

I looked in the Case Changes tab as you suggested and the properties I am
interested in appear there so fine for future forms. Still the Unrecognized
Data ones were submitted and exist in the last built version of the app.
Anyway as long as it works I will not give much importance to this. Thanks
Sheel!
