Swipe not registering on certain devices

Firstly, let me be upfront that we're using a non-standard rom on an e-ink
device.

The issue is that swiping in Commcare does not register - on start up, the
introduction screen prompts the user to swipe to advance and we can't get
past that. Swiping in other apps works just fine (Opera mobile, etc). I'm
not sure why that is. What would solve this is a button to advance / go
back at the top of the page - it would be nice to have as an option
regardless. Something like Droid Survey has at the top of their form:

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Ed,

We're planning on introducing a non-swipe based navigation at some point
for CommCare on Android sometime fairly soon, sorry to hear that swiping
isn't functioning as expected on your platform.

Can I ask what device you are using where the user swipe actions are not
being processed?

Hi, this is great news Clayton. We're using the Kobo Glo with this
firmware (2.4.3 based):

It can be done from external SD as per here:

Play store sees it as a Nexus, so most apps can just be downloaded from
there, for others, we just sideload.
Thanks!

Ed,

This is really cool. We're currently in the spec process and will let you
know when we've got something testable.

In the short term I think it's also the case that if you trigger keyboard
"left/right" events on the current app that those will also navigate, which
you may be able to do with a virtual keyboard as a short term workaround.
