Rectify doubloons on CommCare HQ

I need to rectify on CommCare HQ wrbsite, the name of some cases misspelled by
some mobile users, because it may create doubloons with other mobile users
who share the same cases. Thank you for your help!

Hi,

There is no direct way to change the names of cases on CommCareHQ. Here are
some ways you can correct data on CommCareHQ:

  1. Archiving forms: If a form was submitted in error, you can archive the
form so it is no longer included in HQ reports and exports. For more
information on archiving forms and how it affects case data, see:
Archive Forms - CommCare Public - CommCare Public

  2. Deleting cases: Though you cannot delete a specific case, deleting a
user will delete all of their cases. To delete a single case, create a new
user and assign the case to that user. Then delete the new user. For more
    on reassigning cases, see:
Reassign Cases - CommCare Public - CommCare Public

  3. Updating cases through excel: You can update case data, like the name of
the case, via the excel importer. Our excel importer creates new cases or
updates existing cases on CommCareHQ. For more information see
    https://help.commcarehq.org/display/commcarepublic/Excel+Importer+Instructions

  4. Updating cases through an application: for changes to case data you
think you will want to make frequently, we recommend creating a CommCare
application for supervisors. Enable case sharing to allow supervisors to
see all cases, and create forms to allow them to change case data. This way
is nice because there is a clear record of when made the change and who
made it. For more about case sharing, see
    https://help.commcarehq.org/display/commcarepublic/Case+Sharing

Hope this helps solve your problem. Let me know if you'd like to hear more
about any of these options.

Thanks,
Amelia
