Problem with Cases

Hi Jeffrey,

Answering and also forwarding your email to the users group.

You are receiving an error that says "Module Monitoring Tools uses cases
but does not have detail screens configured for cases."

The case list screen is the screen where all of your registered cases will
be displayed. When you select a case from this list, you are guided to the
case detail screen (which could display different case properties). This is
where you can display data collected in different forms and saved to the
case. (I click on the case and then I see information about the location,
phone number, or other data about this case).

To resolve the issue:

  1. Please click on Monitoring Tools (your module)
  2. Then scroll down to Case Details
  3. Here you can configure the kinds of case properties that you would like
displayed in the list and detail view.

If you click on short, those properties will display in the list view. Long
refers to properties you want displayed in the detail view.

But it also looks like you haven't updated your ASHA case with any
properties. So right now in your list for case configurations you will only
see the default properties.

Go into each of your forms, and assess whether you want certain properties
(i.e. data you collect in the forms) linked to the case, so it is always
remembered by the case and stored on the phone. In each of your forms,
scroll down to the Cases and Referrals section. Click the "updates the
case" button and from the dropdown menu, choose any properties that you
think the phone should store. This could be basic information you want
displayed to the user of the application about the case (i.e the ASHA). For
example, village name, name, mobile phone number, etc.

Hope this information was useful. Feel free to ask for clarification.

Good luck!

Mohini

Dear Sheel & Mohini,****

I am working on the Monitoring Tools domain and have completed the design
of the forms with all the validations. However, I am not able to create
the build as there is some problem with the “Case” that I
created/configured. Kindly request your guidance on the same and the
following are the steps I tried.****

· Created a case with the “Case Type” as “ASHA”.

**· **Moved to the form “Asha Registration” ****

o Selected the option “Opens a case”

§ Against the column “Name according to Question” is selected as
“ASHA’s Full Name”

§ Against the optional question also I have selected “ASHA’s Full
Name”

o Next I selected the option “Updates the case”

§ Selected the question as “ASHA’s Full Name” as “asha_name”

· Saved the process

· Then went to the forms “ASHA Follow-up Report” and “Home
Visit Observation”

· Went to “Edit” mode

· Created a “data node” question with the name
“ashaname_from_reg”

· Then went to the forms “ASHA Follow-up Report” and “Home
Visit Observation”

o Selected the option Requires: “Just a Case”

o Then selected “Loads data from the case”

§ Selected the question as “/data/ashaname_from_reg”

§ Then set the case property as “asha_name”

o Saved the process

After the above process, I tried to make a new build and it is giving me
an error. I am sure that I have made mistakes in the “cases”. Kindly
request your help to identify the problem. Please do not rectify the
problem, but kindly guide me. This would help me to understand the mistake
and learn the right process.****

Thanks again for your kind help and sorry for the short notice.****

Warm Regards,****

Jeffrey****

PS: The requirement is that the “ASHA Registation” form has the ASHA
name. We want that to be referenced in “ASHA Follow-up Report” and “Home
Visit Observation”.****

Also - the process you described below looks correct for displaying a
reference of a case property within the form. It's correctly configured for
the first form.

The error you see in the "Home Visit Observation" form says " Error in Case
Management: To perform case actions you must either open a case or require
a case to begin with"

When you click on this form, and scroll to the section on "cases and
referrals" you have checked off "updates a case". You're doing this for the
referencing above. However, right above this, you have selected "requires
neither a case nor referral". So the error is saying, that you're trying to
use case management, without having activated it.

Solution is to change this to: "just a case".

Hope this helps.
