Multi-lingual custom user data?

Hi - is it possible to make the custom user registration data multi-lingual?
Our application is in 3 languages and I cant see how to do this in more than
1.

Thank you
Steve

Steve,

CommCare treats the user's "data" as non-lingual by definition, currently.
Where are you trying to display the data in different languages? One option
is to save a Key value to the user's data, and send out a fixture with the
key -> Display Text data in it, then reference that in your display (this
is highly technical, and I can elaborate if it sounds possible).

Hi Clayton - I think my question was a simpler one. I had been editing user
information through the key value mapping and I wasn't clear on where to
change the language. Had been doing that but not enabled user registration
from the phone yet since I didn't want that in a build.

Now having enabled the user registration from the phone option I can see I
get a nice user registration form with all of the normal vellum
functionality (including multi-language), so that answers my question.

Thanks

Steve

Spoke too soon. I have a nice User registration form which I can see in the
designer, but can't access from the phone (is this possible in CC ODK) and
it doesn't come up when logged in to Cloudcare or to Add users on the web.
Sounds like I may need to go the fixtures route then?

Thanks

Hey Steve,

I believe the User Registration form only works with CommCare J2ME. Even
if you were to capture some data using this registration form, the captured
data will not be specific to a language.

As Clayton stated, the custom user data (when viewing a mobile worker on
CommCareHQ the Custom Registration Data tab), is not multi-lingual.

Are you displaying this custom user data back to a phone user?

Steve,

Unfortunately custom user registration forms on-phone is only a j2me
feature at this time.
