# Markdown doesn't work on hint fields in the Android App

Dear Dev,

I used the markdown (Text formating) in label and hint but for some reason it doesn't work in the android app (2.49.7) for the HINT. (doesn't show properly on commcare online simulator but the Text formating sample is working)

Is it a known issue ?

Hi Patrick,

CommCare currently doesn't support markdown for hint.
