Limiting access to cases with case sharing enabled

Hi all,

Our application makes use of case sharing, as any one of our mobile workers
may see a newly registered client.

Once the mobile worker has seen the new client, that case will close,
unless the mobile worker refers the client to a health care facility. When
a client is referred, the mobile worker needs to follow that client up, and
so the case remains open, and is passed into a 'follow-up module'. As each
case in the follow-up module contains a great deal of sensitive
information, the team is wondering whether there is a way to limit access
to a client's record in the follow-up module to only the mobile worker who
actually referred the participant.

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to do this, and if so how to set
it up?

thank you!

Hi Julia,
Your problem sounds very similar to the following:
https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Assigning+cases+to+one+of+multiple+groups.
You might actually be able to simplify the design by having a single case
sharing group when patients get registered, and then assign the case to the
actual worker user ID - so no need for one group per worker. It all depends
on who creates the cases and whether they need to continue having access to
the cases once the case is assigned to a mobile worker.
