Last_modified_date and last_modified_by_username

Hi

I wonder if someone can clarify this for me.

I'm debugging a date issue and as part of this I've exported cases last
modified in the current month (last_modified_date > 1-Nov-16) and to my
surprise it includes users under the last_modified_by_username property
that have not logged in for more than a year!

Why is this happening?

Are there any circumstances where the last_modified_date is modified while
the last_modified_by_username is not?

Regards

Hi Simon,

That seems quite odd. It would likely help to submit an issue directly from
CommCareHQ and include the ID of one of the cases, so we can review the
case history and understand a bit better what modifications have occurred
in the last month.

Thanks Clayton.

I've done some experimenting. I think what I'm seeing is due to the fact
that case imports seem not update the last_modified_by_username property
but they do update the last_modified_date.

I'm not sure what the logic is behind this but I'd prefer if they didn't
modify either.
