How to update(pull) new application forms from mobile phone?

Hi,

I am looking for options to incrementally update the mobile forms in
Commcare application. I understand there is an option to update latest
version of commcare app in mobile.

I face the following challenges.

  1. The process downloads the entire application(.jar file) again
  2. I am not able to install the downloaded file, as the jad file is not
    downloaded
  3. The process (even if able to install by manually copying the jad file)
is very difficult and time consuming for the actual users of application

So I want to check, if Commcare is looking to provide a single click option
for updating the new application forms, without the need to download new
jar and install it.

Thanks & Regards,
Sathish

Sathish,

So CommCare does provide an update feature, provided that you are not
updating from an incompatible version. (IE: You cannot "update" a CommCare
app's 1.3's forms to a new CommCare 2.0 version of the forms, you must
perform a full upgrade)

The process for doing so is outlined at

https://confluence.dimagi.com/display/commcarepublic/Updating+a+CommCare+Application

Be sure to look at the instructions for "Update" rather than "Upgrade".

Let me know if this is what you are looking for.
