I'm looking at a potential feature where you search a list of mobile workers. How would you search for mobile workers? (i.e. searching for their: username, first name, last active, number of forms submitted, group association, etc) I'd love to hear about any way you have or would like to search for mobile workers.
Please reply with your feedback in this thread! This shouldn't take more than 5 minutes of your time.
It would depend on context. I'd love to be able to search the current mobile workers list by custom user fields, groups and location hierarchy (in that order, and to be able to exclude e.g. those who are not in this group and to be able to export results of a query). However, if this is for an report I would usually want to make sure both active and deactivated users were represented, regardless of other criteria (e.g. both active and deactivated users in / under Location X). For both exports and reports it would be nice to be able to include users based on custom user fields (for example, we sometimes put the user's "designation" in a custom user field because that is much more accessible for module/form display conditions than their groups).
9 times out of 10 I will be searching for specific users by username or name and sets of users by group or location. Anything beyond that is nice to have but not critical for us.
When I'm looking for mobile workers, I usually look for their ID in order to match ownership in a case export for exemple. So it would be great to have a way to conveniently see the user's ID with one click of a button.
It would also be productive to be able to look for mobile worker in a group without going to the group page.
I like the idea of having infos on the mobile worker right into the user page and not being force to go to the report page, so yeah, number of forms submitted and last time on the app would be great !
Thanks for your feedback, Amber and Michel! That definitely helps. I am asking for a very specific use case when a project space downgrades and they may have to select mobile users to stay on the project. I think both insights around including user group or location and ability to search by the ID will be considered!
