Hidden values

Hello,
I would like to add a hidden values into a form I have already created. I
would like the hidden value to appear near the beginning of the form but it
only places itself at the bottom and seem to be unable to be moved. Is
there any solution to this apparent problem? Insight would be much
appreciated.
With thanks,
Myroslava

Hi,

Hidden values don’t have a “location” in the form the same way other items
do since they are hidden. Any data you load into the hidden value either
from a case or from other questions in the form should be available as soon
as the form is loaded or those questions are answered.

Hey,

One more question: is there a way to amalgamate forms? I have 2 - 3 forms

I’d like to appear as one. Is there a way to get around manually
re-entering most of the questions?

Unfortunately, no.

If you are not scared of getting your hands dirty in XML it can be done by
editing the form source directly but I would not recommend doing this
unless you have a tech background or are familiar with markup languages. I
would also recommend saving all your forms before you attempt to do this,
because you can break your form in a way that will no longer allow it to be
editable in form builder.

thanks,
Cory

Hi,

One other option would be to use an Excel-based tool like Formhub to
initially create your forms that have repeated questions. You can then
refine/edit them on CommCareHQ.

Thanks,
Sheel
