Having two mobile workers logged into the same account simultaneously

Hi,

We’re looking at ways to get one of our mobile worker to assist another who
is (very temporarily) very busy.

Currently our system is built in such a way that each case is only
allocated to one mobile worker, and I’d rather not change this if possible.

I’m wondering whether it would be possible for the assisting mobile worker
to log into her tablet using the busy mobile worker’s details? They would
be working at the same time, but would not be updating the same
participants. The only other solution I can see is for the assisting mobile
worker to log in as herself, and register the participants as hers, and
then for me to transfer them to the other mobile worker on HQ.

Any feedback on what makes the most sense would be appreciated.

Many thanks,
Julia

Hi Julia,

Its definitely possible for the same mobile worker to be logged into two
devices at once (so that the busy person can login to the assisting user’s
device). As long as they’re not updating the same records, it shouldn’t
cause any conflicts. The busy person will just need to eventually sync
their device to see changes made on any other devices.

The other option (which it looks like you’e considered) is to use case
sharing - if multiple mobile workers are able to work in the same area, you
can setup them up to share cases between each other.
